Last night at Toyota Center in Houston:

KEY NUMBER

19 Victories for the Rockets since acquiring guard David Wesley on Dec. 29, the most wins in the NBA since that date.

KEY PLAYERS

Rockets swingman Tracy McGrady, who came in averaging 25.4 points, scored a game-high 34 points and also had nine assists. Wizards leading scorer Gilbert Arenas, averaging 24.9 points a game, was held to 11.

SEEN AND HEARD

AILING: Guard Juan Dixon left the game in the second quarter with a sprained right ankle and did not return. Speaking of Dixon, the guard will play the winner of an NBA Live 2005 video-game tournament at MCI Center on April 9 before the 76ers’ game. Registration is at 11 a.m.

LIGHTING IT UP: Houston’s 35 points in the first quarter ties a season high.
