Last night at United Center in Chicago:

Games in which Gilbert Arenas has scored at least 20 points in a half this season. Arenas had 20 at halftime against the Bulls.

Points scored by the Wizards’ bench.

Reserve center Etan Thomas signed copies of his book and scored CD “More than an Athlete” at a local book store on Thursday. The collection of Thomas’ poems is available in paperback in a few local bookstores and on Amazon.com, where some reviewers have raved about his work.

“That’s just me,” said Thomas, who has tried to book advance readings of his book while the team is on the road. “I’m not going to be put in a box. I have a lot of outside interest. Poetry is something I’d be doing anyway in different cities. It’s just something that I like to do.”

Thomas’ work debuted in Denver at last week’s All-Star Game. …

Wizards coach Eddie Jordan watched the trade deadline activity like everybody else.

“To me, it’s entertaining,” Jordan said of Thursday’s 11 deals. “It’s just entertaining to read it to see the moves. But outside of that, that’s it. I’m so focused and concentrating on what we have to do, the moves we have to make to get better.”
