Greatest accomplishment in the past 12 months: Writing a contract to sell a phenomenal $12,000,000 home. This 1978 mansion, sited on 28 acres of rolling green hills, is a farm or ranch property with six bedrooms, 71/2 baths, a maid suite, stables, a barn, a sauna, a swimming pool, tennis courts and a slate roof. It is very close to the Beltway, shopping and schools.

Worst experience: I sold a home to these wonderful people but the seller defaulted and refused to come to the closing. My buyer panicked, but I resolved the issue and calmed down my buyer. This had never happened to me in 20 years.

Family: Married

Education: I graduated from a three-year college in Bangalore, India, in 1970.

Community associations: Active at Indian temples; Kaveri, the nonprofit cultural association of Kannada-speaking people from Karnataka, India, who have settled in the Washington area; treasurer, Grey Fox Homeowners Association

Last book read: “My Life,” by Bill Clinton

Last movie seen: “Nowhere to Run”

What kind of car do you drive? I drive a 2005 Mercedes 300 E CDI

What is your personal dream house? I live in my dream home. It was built in 2001. It has more than 5,000 square feet on two floors, a grand two-story foyer with a marble floor, a large living room with hardwood floors, a large dining room with hardwood floors and a huge conservatory with ceramic floors. It also has a very large kitchen with stainless steel appliances, granite counters and a morning room overlooking our over half-acre wooded lot. Our home has a beautiful family room with a gas fireplace and Berber carpet, a two-car garage and three sides of brick. It has a finished walkout basement with a huge space for entertaining that could seat more than 100 people, a game room with a pool table, a dance floor, and a small kitchen in the basement for parties. Outside, there is a flagstone patio and level wooded back yard. It is close to Potomac Village. This is really my dream home. We are blessed. We are so grateful. Only in America can you be anything you want to be if you are willing to work for it.
