Ryan Homes is building 145 single-family homes at Brookfield in Emmitsburg, where residents can enjoy a country setting close to shops and bus transportation.

Each home in this Frederick County community will include 5-inch lap vinyl siding, low-maintenance exterior materials, professional landscaping and a two-car garage. Brick fronts, side-entry garages and three-car garages are optional.

Inside, all nine models feature four bedrooms; two full baths and one half bath; hardwood flooring in the foyer; 9-foot ceilings on the main level; 42-inch cabinets, a pantry and recessed lighting in the kitchen; a three-piece plumbing rough-in; central air conditioning; and gas heat.

The homes have about 1,944 to 3,189 finished square feet, with base prices from $357,900 to $419,900.

The Courtland model, with 2,877 square feet, is priced from $402,900.

This home features a two-story foyer, a study with a wall of windows, a living room and dining room with optional columns, a center-island kitchen open to the breakfast area, a family room with a wall of windows, and a mudroom/laundry room off the garage. This level can be expanded with a sunroom off the living and dining rooms and a morning room.

Upstairs, the master suite has a cathedral ceiling; a walk-in closet; a second closet; and a bath with a tub, a separate shower and two separate sinks. Three more bedrooms share a hall bath.

The master suite can be expanded with a sitting room and a second walk-in closet, and a third bath can be added.
