Single-game tickets for the Washington Nationals’ historic April14 home opener won’t go on sale to the general public until Saturday, but 400 fans will have an opportunity to begin purchasing tickets Thursday through an online lottery the club has established.

Fans must register at Nationals.com by noon Tuesday to be eligible. Four hundred random winners will be selected from the pool of applicants and notified on Wednesday.

The lottery winners then will be allowed to purchase up to four tickets apiece online Thursday and Friday, giving them a jump on the rest of the general public.

The club will announce plans for Saturday’s general public sale later this week, but the first-come, first-serve tickets will be available beginning at noon through four outlets: By phone at 202/397-SEAT, at the RFK Stadium box office, at Ticketmaster outlets and at Nationals.com.
