Linda Hamblin Tracey, a longtime resident of Virginia, died March 19 after battling brain tumors. She was 51.

Mrs. Tracey was born March 20, 1953, in Newport, R.I., and moved to Falls Church in 1957. She graduated in 1971 from Falls Church High School, where she was active in the student marching band.

Graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1975 with a degree in architectural drafting and design, Mrs. Tracey was last employed with La Prima Catering and Via Cucina in Columbia, Md., from 2002 until last year.

She had many hobbies, such as cooking, decorating, reading, sewing and playing musical instruments. She also enjoyed hiking and camping, especially in Maine.

She is survived by her husband, Michael J. Tracey; her father, Robert L. Hamblin of Falls Church; and three sisters, Nancy H. Fannin of Ohio, Virginia H. Spurlock of Minnesota and Susan R. Hamblin of Minnesota.

Viewing will be on March 27 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at National Memorial Park Funeral Home, 7482 Lee Highway in Falls Church. Services will be at 10 a.m. on March 28 at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church on Brush Drive in Falls Church.

Interment will be at National Memorial Gardens Cemetery on Lee Highway.
