United Airlines is sweetening winter vacation deals in Colorado’s skiing hot spots — Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone resorts. The airline is offering one free lift ticket to any of these resorts with the purchase of a qualifying flight to Colorado.

To qualify, a patron must be a Mileage Plus member, purchase the ticket on www.united.com and complete additional registration requirements. Travel is valid through Feb. 10.

United also is offering family ski packages at several Steamboat resorts in Colorado. Children (ages 2 to 12) can fly, stay and ski for free with each paying adult. Families must fly to Hayden Airport in Steamboat Springs from Sunday through Thursday and depart Monday through Friday. Sample package rates start at $614 for round-trip airfare, three nights’ lodging and a two-day lift ticket. Travel is valid through Feb. 16. If another season of Christmas shopping in crowded suburban malls is getting you down, Hotel Principe di Savoia in Milan is hoping to lift your spirits with its Christmas shopping package. The package provides complimentary room upgrades, special Christmas treats and a Christmas Card that provides discounts of up to 20 percent at some of Milan’s exclusive designer stores — Armani, Dolce & Gabbana, Ermenegildo Zegna, Valentino and Tod’s. The hotel also provides guests with complimentary limousine transportation to the city’s stores and boutiques. Package rates are $287 per night for a classic room, $365 for a suite. El Al Airlines is making a vacation to Israel easy with its latest seven-night vacation package. For $1,499, patrons can fly nonstop from New York or Newark, N.J., spend seven nights in a first-class hotel, take daily tours of holy sites in Israel and enjoy a daily breakfast buffet plus lunch or dinner. Thanksgiving is less than two weeks away, but several airlines still have seats on sale for the holiday. Spirit Airlines has one-way tickets from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport to Detroit ($49) and Fort Lauderdale ($69). Sale ends tomorrow. Visit www.spiritair.com.

United Airlines has sale fares to a number of cities for the holiday and early December.
