Last night at TD Waterhouse Centre, Orlando, Fla.

Key to the game

The Wizards too often tried to get back in the game by taking bad shots. As a result they finished just 5-for-20 from 3-point range.

Key number

31Points scored by the Wizards in the first half, their lowest output in any half this season.

Seen and heard

It wasn’t long ago that Steve Francis was questioning the effort of his teammates — particularly that of 19-year-old Dwight Howard — in a loss to Cleveland.

But now there are questions surrounding Francis that aren’t sitting too well within the Orlando organization.

Francis told the team he was involved in a one-car accident following the team’s home loss over the weekend to the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets. The injuries he suffered from this accident — to which there is no police report — kept him out of the game with “shoulder” and “rib” injuries.
