28 Shots on goal in the second period by the Panthers, setting a franchise mark. It also was the Caps’ record for most shots against in a period.

SEEN AND HEARD

As South Florida struggles to ready itself for the expected arrival of Hurricane Wilma, the Panthers are trying to make decisions about the immediate future. Ottawa is scheduled to play here tomorrow night, and a decision will be made today whether that is feasible. Most athletic events that cannot be moved to an earlier date have been postponed.
