To celebrate a new international destination, American Airlines is offering special introductory round-trip fares to Delhi, India. Fares are $998 from Washington Dulles International and Ronald Reagan Washington National airports with connecting service in Chicago. Daily nonstop service from Chicago begins Nov. 15. For the introductory rate, tickets must be purchased by Sept. 30 on www.aa.com and are good for travel from Nov. 15 through Dec. 13. Return travel must be completed by Dec. 25. Taxes for travel are $71.65 per person and are in addition to the $998 price.


Air Tahiti Nui is offering winter and spring sale fares for its nonstop flights from New York to Papeete, Tahiti, through Oct. 10. Fares start at $324 each way, which is nearly 50 percent less than the current round-trip fare of $1,326. Air Tahiti Nui is the first airline to offer nonstop service between New York and Papeete; the 12-hour flight is aboard the airline’s new Airbus A340-300. Sale fares are valid for travel between Oct. 27 and Dec. 12 and between Jan. 10 and March 31.

The minimum stay is three days, and the maximum is 12. Flights departing Dec. 13 through Jan. 9 incur a $350 per person surcharge. Taxes for travel are $172.55 per person. Call 877/824-4846.


Austrian Airlines Vacations is inviting people to see not one, but two European cities with its Combo City Steals packages, available in fall and winter from $799 per person, double occupancy. The six-day packages include round-trip airfare from Dulles airport along with six nights’ accommodations — three in Vienna and three in the traveler’s choice of Amsterdam, Florence or Berlin. A daily buffet breakfast and hotel taxes are included. Package rates are good for travel from Nov. 1 through Dec. 15 and from Jan. 5 through March 31. Rates do not include airport taxes and fees that can mean up to an additional $115 depending on itinerary. Packages must be booked 14 days before departure. Call 800/790-4682.


As temperatures begin to drop and the fall foliage transforms landscapes, United Airlines is offering a systemwide one-way fare sale for travel up and down the East Coast and across the country.

Sample fares from Dulles include Boston ($39); Burlington, Vt. ($59); San Francisco ($89); and Tampa, Fla. ($59). Travel must be completed by Dec. 14. Seven-day advance purchase is required. Fares are valid except on Friday and Sunday. Taxes are not included.


For travelers looking to stay in the Old Dominion, Colonial Williamsburg is offering a special Autumn Splendor hotel package. Included are nightly accommodations at an official Colonial Williamsburg hotel, breakfast and admission tickets to Colonial Williamsburg. Rates start at $49 per person, per night at the Governor’s Inn and at $75 at the Woodlands Hotel and Suites. Packages are available through Nov. 23. Two-night minimums are required.
