Another day, another starter lost for the preseason. On Monday, running back Clinton Portis (partially dislocated left shoulder) was ruled out for the preseason; today, cornerback Shawn Springs underwent a “medical procedure to repair a minor tear in an abdominal muscle that attaches to the pubic bone.”

Moments ago, the team also made three roster moves

In: LB Jeff Posey (most recently of Buffalo), RB A.J. Harris, OL Spencer Folau.

Out: (Waived): LB Chris Clemons, RB Kerry Carter, DB Ben Emanuel.
