At the recently concluded Los Angeles Auto Show, Aston Martin introduced the roadster version of the V-8 Vantage. The car has a three-layer soft top that disappears under the tonneau cover by a push on the button in the center console.

The process takes only 18 seconds and it is possible to open or close the top while driving up to 30 mph. The top has a small glass heated rear window. The new Aston Martin has 5 cubic feet of luggage space, but we do not know yet how much remains when the car is topless.

With all the necessary reinforcements, the car gained 308 pounds in weight compared with the coupe, but does not suffer from that, as its 380-horsepower, 4.3-liter V-8 propels the roadster from zero to 60 mph in less than five seconds.
