Last night at Verizon Center

Look for Wizards coach Eddie Jordan to continue to use a short rotation for now because of injuries to center Etan Thomas and forwards Darius Songaila and Michael Ruffin.

Until those guys get healthy — Thomas and Ruffin will be out at least another week and Songaila until at least the All-Star break — look for the majority of the bench minutes to go to Jarvis Hayes and Antonio Daniels.

“Right now we’re going to just seven guys in the rotation, but it’s not going to be hard because I think they’re used to the minutes,” Jordan said.

Jordan acknowledged that players like Donell Taylor, James Lang, Andray Blatche and Calvin Booth will continue to see spot minutes for now and said he’s comfortable with the situation.

“We’ve talked about it,” Jordan says of conversations he has had with the training staff. “Seven guys can’t play 82 games.”

9Games this season in which the Wizards have failed to score at least 45 points in a half. This time they had 45 points in the first quarter, a record for any quarter at Verizon Center.

6-0Record for the Wizards when all five starters score in double figures.
