SEEN AND HEARD

With the Caps leading 6-2 on Wednesday and penalties mounting for the Senators, Ottawa wing Peter Schaefer waved a white towel at Verizon Center on Wednesday, surrendering to officials. The NHL was not amused. Yesterday, the league fined Schaefer $2,500 for the gesture.
