Ryan Homes is building 45 single-family homes on quarter-acre to half-acre homesites at Walnut Ridge in Frederick, where residents can enjoy swimming pools, ball fields and a lake.

Each home in this Frederick County community will include vinyl siding, a steeply pitched roof, professional landscaping and a two-car garage. Brick fronts are optional.

Inside, all eight models feature four bedrooms; 21/2 to 41/2 baths; hardwood or ceramic tile flooring in the foyer and powder room; 9-foot ceilings on the main level; crown and chair-rail moldings; a fireplace; 42-inch cherry or maple cabinets and recessed lighting in the kitchen; a tray ceiling in the master bedroom; a master bath with a tub and separate shower; a security system; structured wiring; and gas heat and hot water.

The homes have 2,439 to 4,948 finished square feet, with base prices from $520,900 to $684,900. Homeowner association fees are $15 monthly.

The Avalon model, with 2,935 square feet, is priced from $574,900. This home has a two-story foyer flanked by the living room and dining room, a corner study with an adjacent powder room and a two-story family room with a fireplace.

The center-island kitchen is adjacent to a walk-in pantry and a laundry room with a closet. The study and powder room can be converted to a first-floor bedroom with a full bath.

Upstairs, the master suite has a cathedral ceiling, a walk-in closet and a bath. Three more bedrooms share a hall bath.
