Seen and heard
Wizards forward Antawn Jamison was delighted yesterday by the news that he is being considered by USA Basketball for the men’s national team for the FIBA World Championships this summer in Japan.
“That’s definitely and honor,” he said. “I mean, who wouldn’t want to represent their country. As a kid I grew up watching the Dream Team. We all know what’s happened as of late, so to even be considered as a guy they are considering inviting is an honor. Having the chance to represent your country is definitely one of the things that you definitely want to do before your career is over.
USA Basketball’s formal announcement of the players who will be invited to participate this summer is expected in early March.
