Last night at MCI Center:

Starting guard Jared Jeffries missed his second game of the season, unable to play with a lower back contusion.

Jeffries, who is averaging 5.7 points and 4.8 rebounds, missed a game earlier this season against Boston with a left eye abrasion.

In his place, Awvee Storey, who made the team as a free agent, made his first career start. It was Storey’s first appearance since he played four minutes and scored four points in a 104-76 rout of Philadelphia on Jan. 16.

Jeffries could be back for tomorrow’s game with Golden State.

Career rebounds for Antawn Jamison after pulling down his second of the night with 5:31 left in the first quarter. Jamison finished with 11 and has 4,009.

For the third time in the last 15 games the Wizards prevented an opponent from scoring 100 points.
