Last night at Comcast Center:

349 Career victories at Maryland for coach Gary Williams, passing Lefty Driesell on the all-time list.

Junior guard D.J. Strawberry thrived at both the point and when he was moved to the wing, scoring a career-high 19 points with an array of jumpers and drives to the basket.

“If you miss a dunk, you miss a dunk. If you miss a 360, you get shot.”

— Maryland coach Gary Williams on Mike Jones’ ill-fated dunk attempt with 5:44 remaining. Virginia hit a 3-pointer on the ensuing possession, but Jones made a 3 late in the game to make up for the error.
