Last night at MCI Center:

Key number

53 Points for the Wizards after three quarters, their lowest total this season.

Key to the game

The Jazz executed their offense almost flawlessly, finishing the game with 28 assists on their 37 field goals.

Seen and heard

Reserve guard Chucky Atkins missed the game, but he had a good excuse. Atkins left the team to be with his wife, Monica, in Orlando, Fla. She’s expecting a boy.

The couple already has two daughters. Atkins likely will be with the team tomorrow night when the Wizards play host to Atlanta.

With Atkins back in his native Florida, the Wizards were forced to go with rookie Donell Taylor off the bench.

The Wizards and the Jazz are the only two teams that have won at Detroit this season, both in overtime
