Professional wrestlers use steroids — Vince McMahon’s World Wrestling Federation was hounded by a long-overdue steroid scandal in the mid-1990s. Credulous fans across the country learned that, no, in fact raw eggs and vitamins can’t make you look like Hulk Hogan.

George Michael is homosexual — The former Wham! singer’s disclosure of homosexual orientation following an arrest for lewd conduct in a public bathroom in 1998 ranked somewhere between “George Hamilton goes to tanning salons” and “Didn’t he already come out?” on the scale of celebrity surprise.

Ashlee Simpson needs vocal enhancements — That lip-syncing contretemps on “Saturday Night Live” wasn’t exactly a bolt from the blue, was it?

Courtney Love is an unfit mother — We didn’t need a judge to tell us that. Nevertheless, one did in 2003 during a custody battle involving the temperamental, addiction-plagued mother of Frances Bean Cobain.

Kate Moss is a cocaine addict — It took being caught in the act for this supermodel to admit the painfully obvious.
