Yesterday at MCI Center

KEY TO THE GAME

Take your pick. The Wizards mustered just 55 points in the last three quarters. They also couldn’t defend Grizzlies reserve Mike Miller, who scored a season-high 30 points.

BY THE NUMBERS

43 Points from the Grizzlies’ bench. The Wizards’ reserves scored just 10 points.

SEEN AND HEARD

At 6-5 this month, the Wizards still have a good shot at finishing January with a winning record.

They split the final four games of the month between MCI Center (against Charlotte and Indiana) and the road (Boston and Chicago). Among those teams, only the Pacers have a winning record.

“We have four games to close out the month, and [three] of them are below us in the Eastern Conference, and we’d like to keep it that way,” Wizards coach Eddie Jordan said. “That may help get us closer to .500. We have three games in four nights, so we will see what we can do.”
