The only way to really enjoy the world of “Star Wars” these days is to marvel at it within any of Dark Horse Comics’ fantastic sequential art series.

This fall, get ready to read about the time period immediately following “Revenge of the Sith” with the five part mini-series, “Star Wars, Dark Times: The Path To Nowhere.”

A Sith takeover of the galaxy far, far away is nothing to rasp at and the evil chaos comes to life through the prose of Welles Hartley and Mick Harrison, and illustrations from Doug Wheatley.

Expect Vader, Palpatine and a Jedi Master named Dass Jennir along with something not offered in the films — intelligent dialogue and coherent plots.

The first issue arrives on sale October 25 for $2.99.

And, do not forget about the work of my favorite Star Wars comics’ creative team, writer John Ostrander and artist Jan Duursema who take the galaxy a hundred years after the events in “Return of the Jedi” for the monthly series Legacy ($2.99).

It’s more fun than a night out with the Twi’lek’s Oola and Lyn Me (yes, I am pathetic).
