I liked this song straightaway when it was released on the Who’s most recent compilation, “Then and Now: Maximum Who.” Roger Daltrey sounds great and Pete Townshend works the whammy bar like he’s ringin’ a bell. And the lyrical hook — that while Elvis may have had looks, Townshend has brains — is brilliant.

Now comes a poignant montage of archival footage to accompany “Real Good Looking Boy.”
