Fast-paced residential development has been occurring in Prince William County for a decade or more, with houses of all types being built along commuter routes such as Interstates 66 and 95 as well as the Prince William County Parkway.

County residents work in a variety of locations, including employment centers within Prince William and in adjoining Loudoun and Fairfax counties as well as downtown Washington.

In Gainesville near I-66 and Linton Hall Road, Brookfield Homes Corp. is building Morris Farm. Half of the community will be devoted to meadows, plus several parks and walking trails with observation decks.

Morris Farm includes a community center with a swimming pool and tennis courts and is located near major shopping areas and commuter routes.
