All-Ford Nationals set for Carlisle, Pa.

The 12th annual All-Ford Nationals is scheduled to be held at the Carlisle, Pa., Fairgrounds today through Sunday.

Antique ‘orphans’ invited to tour

Owners of antique cars, those of a discontinued make, are invited to cruise approximately 50 miles of scenic byways in the Gettysburg, Pa., area tomorrow, the 17th annual running of the event.

An entry fee of $7 will be charged. Participants will assemble at 1 p.m. at a private garage on Pumping Station Road south of Gettysburg. Signs will be posted. At 2 p.m. cars will be released one-by-one, with drivers following printed directions.

Chrysler owners club plans Clarksville show

The seventh annual Spring Chrysler Product Owners Club Car Show, held with Ourisman’s Chrysler-Jeep, is scheduled tomorrow in Clarksville, Md.

Prizes will include a dealer’s choice trophy, club trophy and members’ choice trophy.

Kena Shrine holds 17th annual show

The Kena Shrine Car Club will hold its 17th annual Car, Truck and Motorcycle Show Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Kena Shrine Center, 9001 Arlington Blvd., Fairfax. The rain date is June 11. The event is open to all years of vehicles.

A car corral will be available for those interested in buying or selling a vehicle.

Kern Motor Co. celebrates 60 years

In honor of the 60th anniversary of Kern Motor Co., Art Bragg, former president of the Antique Automobile Club of America and a friend of the Kerns’, has planned a day of celebration June 10 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the dealership at 2110 Valley Ave., Winchester, Va. A display will represent the marques sold during its 60 years in business.

GM show slated for Catonsville, Md.

A car show for all GM makes is scheduled June 11 in Catonsville, Md.

The 32nd annual event will be held at Catonsville Baltimore County Community College on Rolling Road (Route 166) at Valley Road, off Baltimore Beltway Exit 12 at Wilkens Avenue West.

Vehicles will be judged in eight classes dating from 1915. There also will be best-of-make awards in categories of Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Oldsmobile and Pontiac.

Leesburg Cruise-In set in historic area

Northern Virginia Rods and Classics Car Club and the Leesburg Downtown Business Association will host the 20th Annual Leesburg Cruise-In on June 10 in the Historic District from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.

More than 200 classic cars, muscle cars and street rods, 1973 and older, will fill the five-block downtown historic area of King and Market streets, which will be closed to regular vehicular traffic from 4:30 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Music from the 1950s and 1960s will be provided, and all restaurants and many stores will remain open for this event. The rain date is June 17.

A $3 per person donation is requested and all proceeds will benefit the C.S. Monroe Technology Center Scholarship Fund for students in the auto collision repair program.

All-Chevrolet show slated for Thurmont

Sully show scheduled for Father’s Day

The 33rd Annual Sully Antique Car Show will be held June 18 in Chantilly rain or shine.

The show field is limited to 400 cars. Registration will be from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. The day of judging in 35 categories will end at 3:30 p.m. All cars through 1920 will get in free, but no vehicle newer than 1972 or modifieds will be admitted.

Pre-registration is $10 before the June 14 cutoff, with the cost rising to $15 at the gate. Contact Bill Benedict at 703/430-2441.

The Sully Historic Site is located in Chantilly on Route 28 about three-fourths of a mile north of Route 50 and four miles south of the Dulles Toll Road in Northern Virginia. Admission is charged. For more information, call 703/437-1794.
