Caruso Homes Inc. is building 101 single-family homes on quarter-acre homesites at Mountain Brook Estates in Culpeper, within walking distance of downtown Culpeper.

The builder is offering $5,000 in closing-cost assistance.

Each home in this Culpeper County community will include a brick front, 6-inch beaded vinyl siding, professional landscaping and a two-car garage.

All six models feature four bedrooms; 21/2 baths; hardwood flooring in the foyer; 9-foot ceilings on the main level; crown and chair-rail moldings; a gas fireplace; 42-inch cabinets and recessed lighting in the center-island kitchen; a master bath with ceramic tile flooring, a tub and separate shower; a rough-in for a basement bath; a structured wiring package; dual-zone heating and air conditioning; and gas hot water.

The homes have about 2,900 to 3,600 finished square feet, with base prices from $434,990 to $494,990.

Homeowner association fees are $500 at settlement and $550 annually.

The Princeton model, with 3,000 square feet, is priced from $444,990. This home features a two-story foyer flanked by the formal living room and formal dining room, a corner library and a two-story family room with a fireplace.

A knee wall separates the family room from the center-island kitchen and breakfast area. Nearby are a walk-in pantry and a laundry room with a closet.

Upstairs, the master suite has two walk-in closets and a luxury bath and can be expanded with a sitting room over the garage, extra closets and a choice of two styles of larger baths.
