Spotted in the USAirways terminal at New York’s LaGuardia Airport: New Orleans blues-rock legend Dr. John.

He did not, alas, look well. Hobbling slowly on what was doubtless the coolest voodoo-kitted cane I’ve ever laid eyes on, the great, old doc hopped a ride on that golf-cart-type shuttle for travelers “with special needs.”

Dr. John was in town for the city’s River to River Festival.

By all appearances, the 65-year-old rocker will play until he drops.

God bless ‘im.
