Iraq’s oil exports rose by 260,000 barrels per day in February to an average of 1.37 million BPD, Reuters reported yesterday — a sign that a recovery from December’s wartime low of 1.08 million BPD is underway.

Oil exports in January barely moved from the December low, rising slightly from 1.08 million to 1.11 million BPD — the result of power outages, storage problems and other obstacles, according to analysts. But the February totals suggest at least some of these problems have been alleviated.
