Last night at Greensboro (N.C.) Coliseum:

SEEN AND HEARD

One of the curious billboards around the coliseum comes from the “Fear the Turtle” marketing campaign. Coach Gary Williams and forward Nik Caner-Medley are featured on the billboard, as are women’s coach Brenda Frese and guard Shay Doron (the women’s tournament was in Greensboro last weekend). An identical billboard can be seen on Interstate 40, which connects Raleigh to Greensboro.

BY THE NUMBERS

4 Three-pointers by Boston College in its 22-4 run in the first 7:17 of the game. The Eagles made only four 3-pointers in their loss at Comcast Center in December.

PLAYER OF THE GAME

Emotional Boston College forward Jared Dudley sparked the Eagles early in the rout, drilling two 3-pointers as the Eagles scored 19 of the first 21 points. After one of his long-range jumpers, he ran down the floor smiling while repeatedly punching the air to help prod Boston College’s fans.
