Yesterday at Staples Center in Los Angeles

SEEN AND HEARD

Wizards guard Gilbert Arenas was amazed by the play of Clippers point guard Sam Cassell in the Wizards’ loss and rightfully so.

The 36-year-old had 26 points, eight assists and no turnovers.

“He’s what, born in ‘69?” Arenas asked. “[Shoot], and he’s playing like that? It’s no wonder they are where they are [in the standings].”

KEY TO THE GAME

The Wizards were awful defensively in the first half when they gave up a season-high 63 points.
