How did you get started in real estate? I have always been intrigued with the real estate market, home design and decoration. My parents used to purchase older homes to renovate them, and I would visit model homes with them every weekend to get design ideas.

How long with the current company? More than 10 years.

Licenses and designations: Virginia real estate sales; accredited buyer representative

Associations: Northern Virginia Association of Realtors, Virginia Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors

Awards: Quadruple platinum awards in 2003, 2004, 2005

Greatest accomplishment in the past 12 months: I am currently working on my greatest accomplishment. I am helping a much deserving grandmother find a larger home for her family. She is more than 70 years old and is still working a full-time job while taking care of two disabled children, age 45 and 40. As if that isn’t enough, she is also raising two grandchildren age 9 and 12, which she has been doing since their mother suddenly passed away. She is up at 3 a.m. to get the day started and doesn’t get home until 6:30 p.m. I have found them a home to purchase, and I am currently working on getting their other home sold. I am also working with friends and their church to renovate the old home for sale and to furnish and decorate the new home.

What is your area of specialty? Loudoun County

Highest-priced home sold: $1,600,000

Most memorable house: The one involving the grandmother I am currently working with. My client is so excited to have a place large enough for her family. She is one of the kindest, most appreciative people I know. Her family had been living on mattresses on the floor and sharing rooms. With the help of family, friends and church, we are providing them with new furniture to furnish their bedrooms, and for the first time, they will all have their own bedrooms.

Worst experience: I had a buyer whose mother became seriously ill just before settlement and I was unable to get in touch with my client for weeks. Unfortunately, they lost their earnest money deposit and the settlement didn’t occur.

Age: 35

Family: Husband, Jeff; sons, Austyn,14, Connor, 5, and Ian, 2

Pets: None

Education: Bachelor of science in business and marketing, George Mason University, 1992

Community affiliations/community service: Safety committee in our homeowners’ association; Parent-Teacher Fellowship, Christian Fellowship School

Last book read: “The Millionaire Real Estate Agent: It’s not about the money … it’s about being the best you can be,” by Gary Keller

Last movie seen: “Curious George”

What kind of car do you drive? A minivan

What is your personal dream house? A Southern Colonial with a huge wrap-around porch. It would have no less than six bedrooms and baths on a large parcel of land. I would like a kitchen fit for any gourmet chef on a quiet cul-de-sac with all of our friends as neighbors. It also has to be large enough for our family to visit often and not feel too crowded.
