Year started: 2002

How did you get started in real estate? I talked to two agents I knew, then signed up for classes. I joined Weichert, took advantage of every opportunity offered, and was told that if I did everything they advised, I would be successful.

How long with the current company? Since 2002

Licenses and designations: Virginia real estate sales; accredited buyer representative; graduate, Realtor institute; certified relocation specialist; Weichert lead network specialist.

Associations: Dulles Area Association of Realtors (DAAR)

Awards: Chairman of the board club; national sales award, top 5 percent nationwide; Weichert gold club award; DAAR top producer club 2004-2005; DAAR honor society 2004-2005; Loudoun County public schools partners-in-education, 2004-2005; numerous office top producer awards

Greatest accomplishment in the past 12 months: Learning to take the time to refresh and recharge so that I can be there for my family.

What is your area of specialty? Loudoun and Fairfax counties

Highest-priced home sold: $1,300,000

Most memorable house: The one that most of my neighbors and agent friends remember had so many customized features that one needed a guided tour so that none were overlooked. It had a temperature and humidity-controlled wine cellar, a billiard room addition, two separate sound systems with speakers throughout the house and deck, a storage mezzanine in the three-car, side-entry garage and lots of cleverly hidden access panels. A security mirror over the fireplace became the television when one activated the remote control.

Worst experience: A listing quickly went under contract and the purchasers opted not to do a home inspection. The settlement took four hours because the purchasers’ agent kept trying to extract money from my client for home inspection items. Had she advised her clients to do a home inspection, all of this would have been avoided.

Family: Married; two sons

Education: Bachelor of science in business administration, University of Maine

Community affiliations/community service/outside interests: School volunteer; volunteer and sponsor of community activities in Farmwell Hunt; participant, Walk for Juvenile Diabetes; sponsor, Ashburn Wild Hockey Team; sponsor, church bulletin; spending time with my family; skiing

Last book read: “Eldest,” by Christopher Paolini

Last movie seen: “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire”

What kind of car do you drive? Cadillac Escalade

What is your personal dream house? It would have my choice of features and location, a water view and full-time maid.
