Philanthropist and Black Entertainment Television co-founder Sheila C. Johnson was honored Friday night at DC Cares’ “Spark a Change Legacy Award Gala” at the Four Seasons Hotel. Mrs. Johnson (above with CNN White House correspondent Suzanne Malveaux) received her award for longtime volunteer service benefiting many local non-profit groups. Other guests at the event included Washington Ballet Chairwoman Kay Kendall (below left) and art gallery owner Marsha Ralls.
