For all of the Redskins fans out there who have missed my Tom Cruise updates, this is for you: Tommy and his producing partner have been put in charge of sommething called United Artists, a film studio in Hollywood.

Cruise joined with Redskins owner Dan Snyder in September to do some production work and Tommy attended the Vikings-Redskins game.

Since then, though, as the Redskins have gone into the NFC East toilet (2-5), Tommy hasn’t returned to FedEx Field or any stadium to watch the Redskins.

Translation: He needed something to do so he’ll run a film studio.

According to the Associated Press, Cruise and Paula Wagner will have full control of UA’s production slate, which is expected to be about four films per year.
