Last night at Comcast Center

BY THE NUMBERS

354 Victories for Gary Williams at Maryland, tying former Georgia Tech coach Bobby Cremins for third on the career wins list among ACC coaches. Williams trails only Dean Smith (879) and Mike Krzyzewski (678).

PLAYER OF THE GAME

Maryland guard D.J. Strawberry appeared at home on the wing, creating shots for himself at one end of the floor, while disrupting Hampton with his defense. He also was an emotional spark for the Terps, at one point grinning as he helped up Greivis Vasquez after the freshman drove the lane for a basket while drawing a foul early in the second half.
