How did you get started in real estate? The agent who sold me my home thought I would make a good agent. I considered it and researched the time commitment and investment. I had grown weary of my current job, so I entered real estate part-time. My mother had also worked in the real estate industry.

How long with the current company? Two years

Licenses and designations: Real estate sales in Maryland, Virginia and the District; graduate, Realtor institute; accredited buyer representative; seniors real estate specialist; qualified Virginia Housing Development Authority educator

Associations: National Association of Realtors, Northern Virginia Association of Realtors, Virginia Association of Realtors, Greater Capital Area Association of Realtors, Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council, Senior Advantage Real Estate Council

Awards: Multimillion-dollar producer, RE/MAX 100 club

Greatest accomplishment in the past 12 months: Marrying the love of my life in October 2005.

What is your area of specialty? Fairfax County

Highest-priced home sold: More than $1,000,000

Most memorable house: My first transaction involved a close friend of mine. He was a first-time buyer and I was a first-time agent. He is now selling that home and we received a contract just a few weeks ago. My husband and I have grown very close with them and recently attended their wedding. I grow close to nearly all of my clients and find that selling their home or helping them buy one becomes way more than a business transaction. I have made friends for life and believe I have clients for life.

Worst experience: I think one of the worst deals I ever had was one where the buyer and sellers disliked each other so very much that they had to conduct settlement in separate conference rooms.

Age: 31

Family: Husband, Jason

Pets: Dogs, Jackson and Traveler

Outside interests: I am a nationally accredited dog obedience trainer; weight lifting; volunteer work

Last book read: “Marley & Me: Life and Love With the World’s Worst Dog,” by John Grogan

Last movie seen: “The DaVinci Code”

What kind of car do you drive? BMW X-5

What is your personal dream house? I’d love an oversized Cape Cod on several rolling acres.
