The Redskins announced earlier this afternoon that they have signed veteran defensive back Troy Vincent. He was released by the Buffalo Bills on Thursday and has not played since Week 1 because of a hamstring injury. But he is healthy.

The move is a solid one by the Redskins. They obviously have issues with their pass defense — 23rd in the league following Sunday’s 25-22 loss to Tennessee.

To make room for Vincent, the team released young safety Curry Burns.
