Late last week it was reported that Kim Jong Il expressed remorsefulness for his nuclear test. Now comes word that there was no such apology:

Despite the apparently conciliatory tone of the meeting, [Chinese Foreign Ministry] Liu said that Kim did not apologize for his regime’s nuclear test, as some South Korean media had reported.

Regardless of whether an apology was made, the important item in this report is that, according to China, North Korea does not plan on any more nuclear tests.

We shall see.
