Most homes include one or two spaces where the owners can share their time with friends and family, sometimes in a family room or a cozy kitchen and other times in formal spaces.

The home at 9410 Beach Mill Road in Great Falls, a WCI Communities Inc. Grand Monet model, features an easily flowing circular pattern of rooms, all connected by French doors and open passageways so that even a crowd can be comfortable.

This country estate, now on the market for $2,395,000, rests on 6 acres at the end of a private drive off Beach Mill Road. A sweeping lawn and manicured shrubs provide an elegant introduction to the home, which has a facade of stone and stucco with a side-entry, three-car garage and additional driveway parking.

While some of the 6-acre tract is wooded and includes a creek, much of the rear yard is level. The owners enjoy a front porch and two rear decks that face the trees, and stone walls have been added to define the rear lawns.

Plans have been drawn for the land that include a swimming pool, a pool house, a tennis court and extensive landscaping if future owners want to add these elements to the home.

The front of the home includes a portico entrance with columns that leads into the foyer. Just beyond the foyer is a central, two-story rotunda or reception area with a tray ceiling.

Brazilian cherry hardwood flooring adds drama throughout the main level, along with high ceilings and elegant moldings. Custom plantation shutters and window treatments also add glamour to the home.

The formal living room and formal dining room flank the foyer at the front of the house, each including three windows facing the front lawn. The dining room includes a mural with a bucolic scene, plus a set of French doors leading to the butler’s pantry. The formal living room includes a glass door to the front porch, French doors to the vestibule outside the formal powder room, and a second set of French doors leading into the solarium.

The solarium features a wall of windows including a Palladian window at the side of the house, along with French doors opening onto the front porch and a set of French doors on the opposite end of the room opening onto one of two rear decks. One more glass door from this room leads into the library, which has built-in bookshelves and cabinets.

Tall windows with transoms fill almost every wall across the back of the home, which has a two-story octagonal great room as the focal point. The step-down great room has a stone fireplace, a rear staircase to the upper level and a pass-through to the morning room that makes a perfect bar when entertaining.

The larger of the two rear decks is accessible from the family room and morning room.

The open kitchen and morning room are filled with light from the walls of windows and include 42-inch cherry cabinets, granite countertops and upgraded Viking and GE Monogram appliances. The kitchen includes a large island with space for a breakfast bar and storage, and a unique hammered metal backsplash adds drama to one wall.

Just beyond the kitchen are a walk-in pantry, a laundry room, a second powder room and a closet adjacent to the garage entrance.

The central staircase leads from the rotunda to an upper-level bridge overlooking the family room and the foyer. Double doors lead from the bridge to the master suite, which includes a separate sitting room with columns.

A hall off the bedroom leads to the two deep walk-in closets and to the luxurious marble bath. The bath includes a whirlpool tub placed in the corner with windows on two sides, a large shower with a marble seat and glass doors, and two separate vanities.

Nearby, the second bedroom has a walk-in closet and a private full bath. Across the bridge are two additional bedrooms that share a connecting bath with a dual-sink vanity. These generously sized bedrooms each include a large double-door closet.

While the main level features plenty of easily flowing entertainment space, the lower level has also been finished for entertaining with style. The recreation room includes angled walls with windows, columns and a stone fireplace. Nearby are an exercise or play area that can accommodate a billiards or pingpong table.

A wet bar with a refrigerator, dishwasher and plenty of cabinet and counter space faces a smaller lounge area for seating that includes a door to the back yard.

Just beyond the bar, double doors open to reveal a fully equipped home theater with surround sound and furniture that will convey to the buyers.

The lower level also includes a bedroom with a closet, a full bath and a hobby/storage room with two closets. Currently this hobby room functions as an exercise room. Additional unfinished storage rooms are also accessible from the lower level.

While the visible improvements to the home such as window treatments and hardwood flooring are attractive, this home also includes less noticeable but important features such as a security system, an intercom system, an integrated phone system with an electrical modular switching system, stereo speakers on the main level and a high-tech wiring system for cable, fiber optic and satellite services throughout the home.
