Although waterfront homes may be out of reach for many home buyers, many opt for a home in a planned

community with resort-style amenities in close proximity to a beach.

M/I Homes Inc. is building 176 town homes and 42 single-family homes at Sawgrass at White Oak Creek on Old Landing Road in Rehoboth, Del. Chase Communities and Equity Homes Inc. are also building at Sawgrass.

The great room at the back of the home includes a tray ceiling, a fireplace flanked by windows and a wall of windows facing a covered lanai or optional screened porch. The great room opens into the center-island kitchen and breakfast area, which has another wall of windows. Buyers can opt for a large second bedroom in place of the two-car garage.
