M/I Homes Inc. is building 59 single-family houses on 8,000-square-foot homesites at Cambridge Crossing close to downtown Fredericksburg and two miles from the Virginia Railway Express station and Interstate 95.

Each home in this Stafford County community will include 4-inch vinyl siding, professional landscaping and a two- or three-car garage.

Inside, all seven models feature four or five bedrooms; 21/2 to 41/2 baths; hardwood flooring in the foyer; 9-foot ceilings on all levels; crown and chair-rail moldings; a gas fireplace; recessed lighting; 42-inch oak cabinets and Corian counters in the center-island kitchen; a master bath with ceramic tile flooring, a tub and separate shower; a rough-in for a lower-level bath; and gas heat and hot water.

The homes have 2,364 to 5,400 finished square feet, with base prices from $449,990 to $499,990.

The Raleigh II model, with 3,001 to 3,400 square feet, is priced from $489,990. This home features a two-story foyer with a double-door entrance into the library. Nearby are a formal living room and a formal dining room with columns.

Across the back of the home is a family room with windows on two sides that opens to the bay-windowed breakfast area. The adjacent center-island kitchen has a pantry and a desk. A powder room and laundry room complete this level.

Upstairs, the master suite has a separate sitting room, two walk-in closets and a luxury bath. The second bedroom has a private full bath, and the third and fourth bedrooms share a hall bath with a double-sink vanity.
