Probable starters: Game 1 — Marlins’ Dontrelle Willis (12-12, 3.87 ERA in 2006) vs. Nationals’ John Patterson (1-2, 4.43). Game 2 — Marlins’ Scott Olsen (12-10, 4.04) vs. Nationals’ Shawn Hill (1-3, 4.66). Game 3 — Marlins’ Anibal Sanchez (10-3, 2.83) vs. Nationals’ Matt Chico (major league debut).

Injuries: Marlins — 15-day DL: RHP Jose Garcia (elbow), RHP Logan Kensing (elbow), RHP Carlos Martinez (elbow), RHP Josh Johnson (arm irritation), LHP Taylor Tankersley (tendinitis), OF Jeremy Hermida (knee).
