Political cartoons don’t usually spur lively public discussions unless they have caused outcry or riots. Tonight, though, they’re front and center for “French and American Politics … in Cartoons,” a panel discussion beginning at 6:30 p.m. at Alliance Francaise (2142 Wyoming Ave. NW). Radio France Internationale correspondent Claude Porsella will moderate the discussion (in English), with featured guests from both sides of the Atlantic, including the New York Times Syndicate’s Jeff Danziger, the Baltimore Sun’s Kevin “KAL” Kallaugher and TF1 correspondent Guillaume Debre. A reception follows. Tickets are $8 for members, $12 for nonmembers. Call 202/234-7911 or visit www.francedc.org.
