The concept of wireless Internet access again has proved too complicated for the good people of Augusta. Like Ernie Els (78), the Masters’ media Wi-Fi system — the most notoriously erratic anywhere — took the day off. The Rover harbors malice in his heart for the incompetent Lerch look-alike in charge of Masters IT. May he spend the next decade afflicted with the shanks.

For the countless Beltway golf fans with World Band Radio, the Rover will be doing an hour of Masters commentary on Radio Ireland starting at 1:30 p.m. today. No, Mr. Boss and Mrs. Rover, there will be no pecuniary remuneration.
