He may not come to mind when you think of art, but “baby” panda Tai Shan certainly has become an integral part of the local fabric since his birth two years ago. So, in honor of our favorite furry little guy and his ilk, the National Zoo (3001 Connecticut Ave. NW) is celebrating Panda Month throughout April. Of particular note: screenings of Animal Planet’s three films on the zoo’s giant pandas. The documentaries will screen on the hour on a rotating basis today and tomorrow between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. and on other select dates through month’s end. Call 202/633-4800 or log onto www.fonz.org.
