Douglas Homes Inc. is building 23 single-family homes on 1-acre or larger homesites at Clarks Meadow in Glenwood, near golf courses and country clubs.

The development has no lot premiums and the builder is offering a free finished basement, $50,000 in options and $30,000 toward closing costs with the use of a preferred lender.

Each home in this Howard County community will include a brick, stone and Hardiplank exterior, an outdoor sprinkler system, professional landscaping and a three-car side entry garage.

Inside, all four models feature four bedrooms; three or four full baths and one or two powder rooms; a Florida room; a conservatory; a theater room; hardwood flooring in the foyer, kitchen and breakfast room; oak stairs; 9-foot ceilings on the main and lower levels; crown and chair-rail moldings; a gas fireplace; 42-inch maple or cherry cabinets, stainless steel appliances and granite counters in the center-island kitchen; a master bath with a tub and separate shower; ceramic tile floors in all baths; and a high-tech wiring system.

The homes have 4,275 to 5,824 finished square feet, with base prices from $1,308,850 to $1,435,850. Homeowner association fees are $400 annually.

The Westchester II model, with 4,360 finished square feet, is priced from $1,326,850 to $1,343,350. This home features a two-story foyer flanked by the formal living room and formal dining room.
