Romney nabs old Jeb hands in Florida
Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney is beefing up his Florida operation, adding top staff with links to former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and President Bush’s 2004 campaign in the Sunshine State.
“Florida is an important state and these individuals bring tremendous experience and added strength to our efforts,” said Mr. Romney, former governor of Massachusetts.
His newly hired Florida political director is Sherri J. McVay, a former executive director of Jeb Bush’s Statewide Advocacy Council and a regional field director for President Bush’s 2004 campaign.
Mr. Romney’s new communications director in the state is Krisy M. Campbell, who served as Jeb Bush’s press secretary.
