Commuters heading to home will deal with treacherous road conditions this evening.

With temperatures hovering in the mid-20s across the metro area, the National Weather Service forecast freezing rain for tonight and tomorrow morning.

Any areas experiencing rain should expect to see it turn to freezing rain in the overnight hours, the National Weather Service said this afternoon.

“The bulk of the storm is moving through the area and will cause significant icing,” said weather service spokesperson Brian Lasorsa.
