Last night at Lawrence Joel Coliseum in Winston-Salem, N.C.

1,000 Career point plateau reached by senior Ekene Ibekwe on a basket with 5:18 left in the first half. Ibekwe was the second Terp in as many games to reach the mark, following guard Mike Jones.

4 Players in Maryland history to accumulate 1,000 points, 500 rebounds and 200 blocks in their careers. Ibekwe joined Derrick Lewis (1985-88), Terence Morris (1998-2001) and Lonny Baxter (1999-2002) in that group by hitting the 1,000-point mark.

While not a turning point, Maryland’s final basket of the first half was well-executed. Freshman Greivis Vasquez slung a bounce pass through the paint to Bambale Osby, who collected it and delivered a layup for a 32-24 lead.
