How did you get started in real estate? I began working with a builder. I would do everything but build the house. Daily, I pulled surveys, deeds, looked at lots, negotiated prices and terms with his buyers, took care of the financials and took care of payroll. There was not much he didn’t have me doing. I then decided to expand my options.

How long with the current company? Since 2005

Associations: Greater Capital Association of Realtors, Anne Arundel Association of Realtors, Maryland Association of Realtors, National Association of Realtors

Awards: Rookie of the year, 1999; top listing agent, 2005

Greatest accomplishment in the past 12 months: Becoming the top listing agent in Keller Williams Realty, Flagship of Maryland.

What is your area of specialty? Montgomery and Anne Arundel counties

Highest-priced home sold: $2,400,003

Most memorable house: I recently assisted a couple in purchasing their first home. It seemed like the world was against them. They needed a place to stay and fast. Their landlord had given them notice to be out in 30 days, due to him selling the property. They had low credit scores and no cash. They had stumbled trying to find an agent and loan officer who would help them. They knew what they wanted and somehow, we fell into each others’ e-mail. With hard work and a ton of patience, we negotiated them an unbelievable price, at all-time low in the most recent years for homes in their area. This is what selling real estate is all about.

Worst experience: The most heartbreaking cases have been ones with buyers I helped to buy a home who call me years later to sell their home for reasons of divorce or separation.

What is your personal dream house? I almost have my dream house now. My best friend found a lot with a small home just down the street from my parents and within 15 minutes of most of my immediate family and friends. Our home will be perfect for family gatherings. This custom rancher will have 10- or 12-foot ceilings, four large bedrooms, four full baths and two half baths, a three-car garage, and a full basement and a full front porch. Best of all, it will be maintenance-free. Since my family spends most of our time in the kitchen and family areas, our home will have a huge kitchen: at least 45 cabinets, double wall ovens, a range with a grill, dual dishwashers, two refrigerators, a separate butler’s pantry with a third refrigerator, an enormous family room adjoined to the kitchen and with the original stone fireplace. Outside, there’s a fenced half-acre yard in the front and a back yard with just as much space, all within walking distance to the water. We are excited to be able to build our dream home. Our goal is to have it completed within the next two years.
